Hochelaga-Maisonneuve is no stranger to rejuvenation. For the past 10 years or so, the district has been infused with an energy reminiscent of its halcyon days of the 1976 Summer Olympics. Old factories have been renovated, commercial streets have been buffed up and its cultural offer is growing; all in all, everything is booming. Of course, there are still the “musts”—like the Olympic Stadium and its inclined tower (the highest in the world), the Botanical Garden, the Insectarium, the Biodôme and Maisonneuve Park—but make sure to set aside time to enjoy HoMa’s simplicity and richness.
